This 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom was delivered new with Brewster Lonsdale limousine bodywork as one of approximately 1,244 examples built on the 40/50 New Phantom platform at the company’s American factory in Springfield, Massachusetts, between 1925 and 1931. Chassis S239FP was fully restored and rebodied with Fleetwood Roadster coachwork was stripped of its coachwork approximately five years ago.
The origianal 7.7-liter OHV inline-six is equipped with twin-plug ignition and a single updraft carburetor and is connected to a three-speed manual transmission. The chassis rolls on wire-spoke wheels and is further equipped with drum brakes, front fenders, running boards, bumpers, a four-spoke steering wheel, and instrumentation. The project was done several years ago and we regularly start and run the engine.
This Phantom retains its original transmission and instrumentation as well. All of the instruments are present and function.
We have many photos of the car and driving videos as well. It runs off a fuel pump and maintains temperature well.
The chassis and accessories are all in excellent condition. It has fresh oil, and coolant and the engine has excellent compression and oil pressure. I have driving, instrumentation and engine running videos as well as walkaround and details.
Overall, it is a turnkey chassis ready to be bodied and enjoyed. Many videos and additional pictures upon request. Clean transferrable title work n hand.
