Steven Pijpers from Holland writes: "I am 20 years old, my brother 23 and we are crazy -not to say obsessed- about oldtimers. Every day we scour the web searching for interesting cars. Of course we are biased because our father is a car collector himself. Often we literally beg him to take us to shows, museums, autojumbles and concourses. We went to the Concours of Schwetzingen with our father's car that you can see here. (It's one out of four still existing Rolls-Royce Playboy Roadster cars). We also love to drive the 1907 Minerva. We truly hope that more youngsters (editor: whatever car they drive ;-) will react. Since I've known your site I visit it daily!" Thank you Simon, that's food for our soul... By the way, we like your father's Phantom I way better than the last week presented Teutonic Phantom VI Snowplough (Autoweek.com). This latest RR has a MACK nose(TeamWorldWide.com), London taxi reardoors and two hands full of retro rubbish (this aside it is probably the best built postwar RR). In the early days of Phantom I and before, RR used to be a Modern car for the young & wealthy like above... Why did both designers and marketeers -including all postwar Brits- forget about that?
