It is a fabulous photo-find from the family collection of a Fraulein T.L. Thousand in the US. "My grandfather, Adolph Thousand -- an avid motorcycle racer and lifelong auto fanatic -- is in the cap on the left. His boss, obviously a well-heeled man, is in the derby on the right. (about the bowler hat man: probably Joseph Rhomberg, owner of the beer brewery Dubuque Star (later Dubuque Brewing & Malt Co.)" More interesting to us of course is the veteran supercar with its supercool canvas detachable wings (note the second wing position bracket near the passenger's shoe !), also take note of the twin choice exhaust (with and without silencer). Devoure the detailing front part of the car and..... the chain drive. Please feel welcome to take a close look at the two man. All this to give you some atmosphere of another era, almost another planet. However the car is made by a company that is still very much alive and that since the dawn of car making. We are not going to tell you more, The photo should tell its story on its own. On the next page yo will not only find the rules, but also a bit more background on this photo.
