The old tannery.

Halfway between Chartres and Le Mans you can find the little village Nogent le Rotrou. Situated near the village in an ancient stop for coaches and carriages you can find the firm Depanoto. They went into business in 1946 and are specialising in 'voitures anciennes'(our kind of cars) since 1955. The old building at rue Giroust nr.1 has many floors that all are crammed with engines, radiators, gearboxes and whatever is needed to keep your old Fench car on the road. This photo (plus a widescreen version) was shot in an old tannery nearby where they keep the big parts. Rims and wheels alone more than 1 kilometer... Depanoto, a must when visiting France and (maybe to your advantage) not yet online... Still, the do have telephone and fax (02)37 52 43 25 / (02) 37 52 74 52.
