The leather is original.

We invited this Italian Roadster to be a Quiz car, but later decided that it was no good sports to ask you about a 1975 Pettenella Leontina 4C... ;-) Some Replica's are so tasty that they deserve our special attention. It also learns to take care. The item shown here is high quality, mostly handbuilt with a handmade alloy coachwork. The 2 litre 4 cylinder twincam with 5 speed gearbox is 100 % Alfa, but at the same time 100% 'seventies'. Yet the leather doorpanels and dashboard trim come from a true 'thirties' 6C 1750 Zagato... The Pettenella has a newly built chassis with the floor plan aluminium ribbed as the original Zagato. It has a steering box as original (no rack and pinion) and the same front tubular axle arrangement with front disc(!) brakes well concealed with air scoops. The "Hartford's"'are actually original Italian. So the car looks very original with one of the few give aways being different road wheel size and modern dashboard instruments - so if someone was crafty and changed these they could pass it off as original. The makers badges have been exchanged for correct Alfa badge and grill wording. For some more 6C 1750 visit the Alfa parts corner. (photo Peter Byrne; click for more photos and info)
