Stutzes at Spa.

‘There has been tremendous enthusiasm among owners of pre-war sports cars to see an extended series of races this year, and in particular to see a round at a major UK circuit,’ says organiser Duncan Wiltshire who launched a 'Pre-War Sports Car Racing Series' in Europe last year. ‘In 2004, competitors enjoyed the Nurburgring, Assen and Spa. Entries ranged from Alfa Romeo, Frazer Nash and Lagonda and from BMW to Maserati. Highlight of the year was two Stutzes racing together on a European circuit (Spa) for the first time since 1930.’ Each round consists of two, two-driver, 45-minute races. It is for ‘proper’ historic sports cars, running in road trim. Following Donington, more races during the year. See PreWarcar's events-diary for the dates and places.
