"Cheffins have decided after 7 years in the classic car auction market to close their existing operations following the resignations of Julian Shoolheifer (left) and Damian Jones (right)."
Sad news that an auction house that has been quite succesful in the vintage car market untill the very last auction last week, now suddenly must stop with cars. In our view Cheffins brought a different approach with quite different cars to the British auction front. See 'our history' with Cheffins (click) and you understand what we mean.
“It is with regret that both Julian and Damian are leaving us” said Bill King director at Cheffins “however, without the 2 main classic car experts, we did not feel that we were able to offer our clients the same service they had come to expect over the years”.
We are sure not to lose Julian and Damian out of sight as Julian Shoolheifer is to set up his own car consultancy business and Damian Jones will also remain in the classic car market. Neither we will loose Cheffins out of sight now a new motorcycle and automobilia department will be created under Jeremy Curzon". (photos courtesy Cheffins / UK )
