Oldest surviving 2.5 L SS Coachbuild Saloon?

Shown here the remainders of chassis nr.10985. According to Tom Zwakman - vintage SS & Jaguar specialist - this could very well be the oldest surviving specimen of this type SS Saloon. When you know of an older example, he is most eager to hear from you. Tom is a Jag-aholic and has catblood flowing through his veins. Don't start the subject with him, as it will take you all day. He has a terrible memory on these cars and their history. It won't be easy to find a question he has no answer to or doesn't know where to find it. Need a spare 2.5 L SS-engine? Here it is. Even UK-specialists have a hard time believing their own eyes when confronted with more than 10 prewar Cats, including the very rare and one-offs. Not to mention another 10 or 15 projects like the one above. (photo by editor)
