Napier revisited (UPDATE see Read More))

Last week we showed you a car that was thought to be a Napier but appeared to be a Darracq. One of the men who unmasked the Darracq was Laurent Friry of Sweden. Just two days ago the real Napier photo turned up(there was a mix up) and we asked Laurent to write the accompanying comments: "This extraordinary photo is shot at the end of January 1905 and shows the ace driver Arthur Macdonald, at the steering wheel of the Napier L.48, when competing in the Speed trials at Daytona Beach (HarleyVille.it) in Florida.
