Sounds like a tabloid 'cliffhanger' and maybe it is. You are looking at a late fifties shot of a 1929 De Dion Bouton. Note the nice V-shaped windscreen. Sender Nick Cushing writes: "The car was bought by my father in law, Ray Neal, and 4 of his mates. It was registered to Ron Burke, my father in laws best mate. He is the one in the photographs. It was black in colour and they all drove it around in the mid/late 1950's in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Mainly a booze cruiser I think !!!! They did take it away on many holidays however! There are only 3 of the 5 that owned the vehicle still alive: Ray Neal, Ron Burke and George Ship. They would really love to see the car again and talk to the present owner about its past." Anyone aware of the 'post-booz history' of this De Dion or who knows the curent whereabouts of XX2913 (clic) is welcome to report us at: [email protected] (photos collection Ray Neal; click photo for full sideview)
