Inspiration Point

A very poetic scene is Inspiration Point at Pike’s Peak in Colorado, USA. We’re on an altitude of 7945 feet and just imagine driving up to the cliff’s end like that. No barrier, no nothing! But did you notice the turntable? We have never seen one before on a road, only on a railroad when used for turning locomotives. Although the automobile seems especially made for the job, the set-up seems a hairy one to us. (postcard collection editor) (RB)
