Espoo Moon..

Raul Valkila, our young Finnish reporter (who is also very active in finding links for PreWarCar) writes:"I live about 10km from the Espoo Car Museum so I visit there now and then. Espoo car museum is the biggest car museum in Finland displaying 110 cars in two floors. The cars are varying from a1918 Ford T to 1989 Trabant. Perhaps (at least for me) the most interesting vehicle displayed is a 1927 Moon 6/60 Cabriolet. It has covered about 80.000 km. Bodytype was originally Cabriolet but in the 1950´s (for family reasons) the car was converted to closed sedan. Last time it was driven in the 1960´s. Electricity by Delco, engine by Continental, gearbox by Warner, clutch by Borg & Beck; only the body was built by Moon. By the way, the radiator is very similar to Belgian Minerva. Original colour was green while fenders beeing black." Edit.: A short history on the make Moon (click) (Don McBee's pages about St. Louis/Missouri makes) --- (photo Raul Valkila)
