Fabio Gemelli, sent a report from Imola (Italy), last weekend: on Sunday 29 May 2005 forty classics cars gathered in Imola to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first 'Raduno delle Nonne' ("Grannies" gathering), a regional event that in 1965 marked the foundation of the CRAME (Club Romagnolo Auto e Moto d'Epoca), a local classic cars club. It was real fun to meet old friends and old cars, half prewar and half postwar, just like the drivers... The short trip along the Santerno Valley was full of food-stops to experience the taste of Romagna with Tuscany influence. The last stop was in Castel del Rio, where the medieval Ponte degli Alidosi (Alidosi bridge) saw the "roaring grannies" in a hard climb(click) plus a pleasant surprise at the top. The event finished, as usual, in a rich lunch prepared in the Castel del Rio Castle by a famous Chef. Fun and passion are the only ingredients of these nice events, as testified by the presence of many people who was at the Raduno in 1965!"
