Bas de Voogd sends this photo. It is from a small Dutch wartime booklet "My liefe as a Pilot" by German Ace-flyer Ernst Udet. Subscript with the photo is "flight arcrobatics on the Eibsee" which seems to be near to Garmisch Partenkirchen. Sorry for keeping you. Just click here and you start to understand ;-))) Wow! Probably nobody around who knows which Bugatti etc. We understand that the pilot had to pick (with a wingtip!) the flag from the motorcyclist. But what the role is of the Bugatti?
