A Surgeon's Coupe....

It took the craftsmen of Park Ward long & many months to build this lightweight drophead coachwork for the lady who nevertheless sold the car within two weeks after delivery...!! Not that she was unhappy with the automobile. She sold it to a friend - a surgeon - who was is in urgent need of solid & romantic transport for his bride to be and indeed took bride and car to Vienna! Back to everyday life the surgeon used the car on a daily basis and it is said he rushed it to the royal palace when he was summoned to deliver the late Princess Margaret in 1930... In 1959 the car benefited from a major overhaul both technically and cosmetically. Leather interior and weathergear were treated by an ex Park Ward specialist. It seems the car longs for a second life on the continent. During the last 45 years it enjoyed only some 5000 recorded miles, of which most was spent on two continental tours....
