A quiet Tuesday. (UPDATEs)

Joseph Puleo from Rhode Island (US) writes " ...when going through a box of family photographs I came up with the attached ... you may have some fun identifying the car since the photographer, managed to miss the front. The picture is of Robert Pendleton, my great uncle, and I believe it to have been taken in 1909, 1910 or 1911. At the time he was working as a chauffeur for a wealthy family in New London, Connecticut (Rootsweb.com). I'm told that, to keep him from using the big car he was provided with this runabout. I've been told it was a Hudson but, knowing little about that marque I wouldn't swear to it. Uncle Bob was born in 1886 so he must be about 24 in the picture." ... >>> We checked the web and conclude that 1910 Hudson (members.aol.com) probably is not far from the truth. But we know that there are Hudson cognoscenti among you who may will learn us better... UPDATE by David Greenlees: "...it looks exactly like a Hudson model "20". They had cast aluminum floor and running boards which this car seems to have and the hood louver shape is the same. This model appears to have been made in 1909-10.

Today the late Queen/Princess Juliana of the Netherlands will be intered in the royal vault under the old church of Delft.

Also we will remember actor, director, writer, voice artist and vintage car fan Peter Ustinov, who passed away Sunday. There seems to be a record on which Peter is imitating a high revving Amilcar C6 brilliantly.
UPDATE IV by ed.: We just found this link claiming that Peter imitated 903 CC Amilcar at age 4...(Schweizer Ilustrierte)
UPDATE III by Glen Robb: "Peter Ustinov said in more than one occasion that as a boy he thought he was an Amilcar and I have heard him mimic the exhaust note. This is also stated in his autobiogrophy, the writer of which was on television yesterday, and said again Peter thought he was an Amilcar. What the general TV watcher made of the reference to Amilcar, is anyones guess !!"
UPDATE II Rutger Booij found that the record is now available on CD, see 'The Grand Prix of Gibraltar' (ArtistDirect.com)
UPDATE I by 'Antique Kiwi': "Peter Ustinov made a record called "The Grand Prix of Gibraltar" on which he did the commentary of a fictictious race and the sound of the competing cars. It was a brilliantly funny parody of the races of the era (about mid 1950's I think) with the names of current drivers slightly modified. He did a variety of engine noises of the cars of the time, Mercedes, Ferrari etc. although I don't remember an Amilcar."
