A happy day at the beach

Browsing an old photo album always turns up lovely snapshots like this one found by Bas de Voogd (click pic for better view). He doesn’t know the family in the car, but does know that the photo was made by a professional photographer who, on a nice sunny day, set up his cardboard automobile on the beach of Oostvoorne in The Netherlands. Until very recently this was one of the very few beaches in Europe where you were allowed to drive with a car. Despite lots of protest, the beach was closed due to environmental reasons, many locals do not agree and they want to see it reopened as soon as possible.
