About the car
The Ex Alain Good (Owner / CEO of Lagonda Motors) Monte Carlo Rally car after their takeover in 1936
Used by him on the 1938 Monte Carlo Rally to come second in class after starting in Athens and driving half way across Europe in the middle of winter! Super condition, super history and able to hold its own at modern motorway speeds with ease. A real "Class Act"!
A robust engine
The heart of this car features a meticulously rebuilt 4500cc 6 cylinder Meadows engine, rebuilt with a steel counter weighted crankshaft and steel connecting rods, forged pistons, uprated cam etc. to give masses of endless power on demand.
The Lagonda chassis
Designed by Lagonda with the assistance from WO Bentley, the chassis comprises bolted together steel sections. The engine is connected to a four speed gearbox and the Girling system rod operated brakes feature large and effective drums. Suspension is provided by half elliptic springs controlled by friction and hydraulic lever dampers.
