1934 Alvis Speed 20SB Vanden Plas Tourer.

This alvis belongs to an octogenarian owner whom used it extensively until a few years ago maintaining it with out regard to cost with noted marque specialist Early Engineering. It is currently fitted with a later 3.5 Litre Speed 25 engine making it a very fast machine indeed with 90MPH easily attainable.

Despite bineg heavily patinated the car remains presentable & is in very fine mechanical condition. Indeed on the day of our visit after not running for 4 months it started up instantly It has just been fully serviced by Early engineering so is absolutly ready to go.

The green paintwork is older but still presents well. The seats have been redone in green but the door cards remain original to the car. The hood; a little faded easily erects & lowers. A full set of unused side screens & a tonneau cover also come with the car. The spare is rear mounted on the fold open boot. A Kenlowe fan helps with cooling duties under the bonnet.

Strangely enough in addition to AYN14 we also have AYN15 in stock currently; a rakish airline style coupe.  

I cannot stress strongly enough how well this car drives & how fast it is. It has the excellent 4 speed all synchromesh ALvis gear box & is a pleasure to drive with a very fruity exhaust note. The car is currnely in the owners garage in far southwest Wales but we can pick it up any time for viwings closer to home.
