After having had the experience of an Amilcar he was bitten by the sportscar bug and he was now due for a quicker car. One of the first things he experienced was the funny roadholding and harsh ride in the type 40. When talking to a fellow Bugattist at the time he was shown how to drive a Bug: as fast as you can. Never use your brakes, just steering and throttle....
