She was not found at the bottom of the sea. It has always been working and ploughing there since the early twenties, this charming OilPull. And never complaining about the quality of kerosine that was fed to her. We spotted it during the 150 years festival of Hollands biggest 'polder' the Haarlemmermeer. It used to be a lake and has been pumped dry and is at 30 yards below sealevel a flourishing agricultural area. You can even harvest Boeing 747's there since the Dutch national airport Schiphol landed here some 75 years ago... Anyway, most impressive was how the owner of the beast started the one cylinder power unit. Two 1/4 pulls with a big handle at the flywheel and ...THU...-THU..-THUD.-THUDD-THUMPP-THUMPP-THUMMP, there she went with a belly shaking 100 revs an hour. Vomiting enough smoke to alarm the airport firebrigade 6 miles from there. See www.RustyIron.com for tons of historic photos of OilPull from La Porte, Indiana, a true dinosaur. (photos by editor)
