Found in a barn, a bumper presumably removed from a British made car. So far nobody was able to identify the car to which it once was mounted. A Riley, a Singer, a MG, a ??? Who can help in this? Gordon Bashford, poi Chief Engineer presso Rover, ha progettato la Mezzolitre nel 1951 per Rupert Instone e un altro collega che lo ha effettivamente costruito. Montava motori anteriori BSA. Gordon Bashford ha avuto una lunga carriera con la Land Rover. Il layout di base Land Rover da lui progettato rimane invariato ancora oggi. Gordon Bashford ando’ in pensione nel 1981 e morì nel 1991.
