Who can help identifying this gearbox?
Text on oil filler is english, bolts are metric.
It has 4 speeds forward and a reverse

It's probably for a truck if the high gear (fourth speed) is direct-ratio. As a general rule, four speed gearboxes with overdrive fourth speed are for cars.

I can't positively identify, but it has some Alvis characteristics, maybe an early 10/30HP of about 1921. The four 'leg' mountings and particularly the style of the stamped numbers are similar to those employed by Alvis, but I'm not sure. It must have been an early box, stamped 'GB6'!
