Which type is this 1906 Alcyon?

We like the thin topping of snow on the little French car, so we thought the day before Christmas is the right moment to bring up this query by William Meadus:
"This is my 1906 Alcyon, not yet completely restored. It has a single cylinder engine with three speed transmission, kerosene headlamps, brass fuel tank behind the seats. The only number I can find  is #498 stamped on the engine housing. It has the licence number #490CN54 on front. I would love to know where I can find more information and possibly photos of another Alcyon of this vintage."

William also sends this front view and a close up of the radiator. William did not add info regarding the round patent plate (text: BREVET  #285.753 / 7 Février 1899, Licence No. 1537). We checked with expert Fons Alkemade who says that the basics of the car seem ok. He was less impressed by the body and radiator. He presumes the radiator is either home made or maybe has an agricultural background. Anybody who recognises the radiator or can add to the identity of  this Alcyon? The closest we could find is this 1905 7-8 HP.

Thanks for the comments. I took possession of the Alcyon after the restoration was partly done, or as you see it. I was hoping for info so it could be restored properly and would appreciate any in that regard.
Thanks

i like it as it is, to many cars have been restored back to the "original" you do not see many RR breakdown trucks these days!

Editor: you have a point there Pete. Happy Christmas!

One more remark: I could be wrong, but the rear wheels seem to have been mounted inside out??

It is difficult to see what the remaining Alcyon parts are. The body and radiator are certainly later modifications. The radiator has some Vulpès resemblance, but not more than that. The front axle is more 1907-like and the bend of the dumb irons is not flat enough. The hand levers have been placed more to the front of the car and have the wrong shape. The engine could be right but the configuration seems to differ from the 1906 model. About the 1905 picture, I doubt if that is the original radiator. Probably the 1905 and 1906 models were identical and in that case the radiator shape must be different. Unfortunately I don't have an original picture of a 1905 model. The 1906 Alcyon was also produced in license by the german HAG (later known as Hansa), so maybe there are some survivors there?

It would seem from the following, that if it's a 2 seat then it's a 1000cc, or if a 4 seater then 1400cc, both single cylinder.

The '1905 7-8 HP Alcyon' shown in the link bears an uncanny resemblance to a Type VC Lion Peugeot. The radiator is identical to the one on my 1907 Lion.
