What is it? Quiz #320

At first sight you’re going to say it’s post war, but that’s where the complications start. Yes the body was made in Paris in 1947. Yet what's underneath is vintage. The marque hiding under this alloy skin is of undoubted fame, but better known as one of the ultimate racecars of the twenties. One hint, the car is much smaller than you may think; it's almost a toy verion of for instance a Delahaye.
