While the registrations are coming in for The 100 Miles of Rotterdam, we noticed there are quite a few Ford V8’s entered. As we know, this is a very good car and the PreWarCar.com Ford V8 will be present as well. Some of the participants to the 100 Miles have more than one car in their collection, so which car is the best to take?
The 100 Miles of Rotterdam is a rally which will take place on Saturday the 15th of December 2018. After a good meal, the participants will start a rally of 100 miles through the Dutch countryside, over little bridges, next to small canals and will conquer the cold and the dark. Some stops are planned to get warm again and to chat with other participants. The finish will be one big party where we will see who this year's winner is.
In recent years, the entry field was quite diverse. We saw a big Cadillac V16 standing next to a sporty Frazer Nash. There are always the Bentley boys, but another much smaller British car finds its way through the Dutch countryside as well: the Austin Seven!
We participated ourselves once with a 1909 Jackson single cylinder, next to our Belgian friends with a 1903 De Dion Bouton (trust me, that is a real challenge). The year after we drove a 1927 Salmson TwinCam, but both times were just as much fun!
Most important is that the car is reliable enough to conquer the 100 miles, has enough light to drive in the night and makes you feel comfortable to drive it. If those boxes are ticked, we are sure you will enjoy it!
So the question is, which car are you bringing this year to The 100 Miles? If you haven’t registered yet, now is the time. We guarantee you that this is one of the best rallies you will have this year!
