What is it ? Quiz # 265

This is a lesser known page in the history of a wellknown car in the collectors world. Still in somewhat different disguise than how it's on display now, locked behind museum doors. These photos were taken about 40 years ago when the car was found in Indonesia. We see the remains of a proud grand tourer in which style the car was ordered by its - without any doubt - wealthy owner. The body was too far gone and now the car has a basic 2 seater 'roadster' arrangement. A hint for those who do not instantly recognise the chassis, this marque is known up to this day not only for its Edwardian high-end cars, but primarily for its struggle to survive. The car which is subject of today's quiz had a new design engine with transverse(!) camshafts.
