Today’s picture shows just a little part of a large factory floor. The workers are putting the final touches to the almost completed car, but for a minute they stopped work to pose for the photographer. The factory were they worked was located in a small country, yet the company was well-known for its luxury cars. Like many others they started by manufacturing bicycles (in 1899), but serious car production began in 1904. The company made their own bodies, for which a separate coachworks factory was opened in 1922. However, they didn’t survive the 1930s and merged with another car manufacturer from the same country.
