What is it?

The rolling chassis you see here was bought 7 or 8 years ago from a collector in France. Is there anyone who can tell us more about the chassis? Maybe the make, type, year and what kind of engine should be in it?

We do not have the answers ourselves, so we rely on you guys! Please comment below.

From the dumb iron in the second photo, the chassis looks fabricated from flat sheet -which would point to a home build. However, weren't most cyclecars built by two dogs and a man in a shed?

I query whether or not a home builder would create the difficult chassis curves or the shaped fuel tank on this car but I don't know what it is.

Not a Salmson AL chassis - the proportions of the side rails are quite different and the front dumb irons far heavier than Salmson. The front axle is also different. My guess is a home made chassis with axles and other bits from another car.

No rear spring(s) ?
But it does not look like there is a part cut off at the rear.

The chassis frame could be 1920's Salmson

salmson AL was my first thought... Only because of the swept side rails..... Id guess a Cycle car built in the teens by a home builder
