Wear your Poppy today! (see UPDATEs)

The treaty that officially ended the First World War was signed ninety years ago, on November 11th at 11.00 hours. In many countries this day is remembered, but especially in the Commonwealth countries where many people wear a remembrance poppy. This custom originated after John McCrae published his powerful poem about the blooming poppies on the battlefields:

“In Flanders Fields the poppies blow,
Between the crosses, row on row”.

The picture dates from the early 1930s and shows a Poppy seller pinning the flower on Australian cricketer Don Bradman. (Photo from the State Library of New South Wales / Flickr Commons Project)

Update II by Richard Merrill: "...the treaty that officially ended World War One was the Treaty of Versailles, signed on 28 June 1919. The previous 11 November at 11 hours Greenwich Time an armistice stopping the fighting went into effect."
Update I by Tony Haycock: "I know it isn't a "Guess the car", but if anyone is interested, it is a 1929 or 30 Chevrolet roadster."
