Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2019 in Pictures

On March the 27th we published a feature in which we asked you to describe Vintage Revival Montlhéry in 100 words. One of the winners said the following: ”A crazy atmosphere, colourful characters, fratricidal struggles and passionate organizers” This was again confirmed last weekend!

On the 11th and 12th of May 2019, Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry was absolutely THE PLACE TO BE for every PreWarCar (and also PostWarClassic) enthusiasts. People brought their cars (literally from all over the world) to the famous banked curves. What a spectacle! A wide variety of cars and motorbikes, as also can be seen in the photographs. So there was definitely something for everyone. We met old friends, but also made new ones. It was lovely to meet the winners of the tickets at the PreWarCar.com & PostWarClassic.com stand.

You may have already seen some pictures and videos of the event on our Facebook and Instagram. But today we show more footage of Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2019! Watch the video produced for PreWarCar.com by Tony Hillyard!

We would like to thank the organisation and all the volunteers for the unforgettable weekend!

Montlhéry was very important to me in my youth because it indirectly caused my lifelong passion for prewar cars. I was in my early teens and my sister's husband had an Amilcar and an MG18/80. One day he said what are you doing at the weekend? Of course i wasn't doing anything, especially when he asked me whether I'd like to accompany him and an Isotta Fraschini to Paris. It belonged to friend of his and was destined to become part of the collection of cars forming a museum under the banking. We made it although not before we were pushed in true Genevieve style down the Champs Elysées by several sweaty but kindly gendarmes. Michael drove in the front and I communicated using the speaking tube from the back. The car was huge. It was my first ever trip outacross the channel and out of the UK and everything about that weekend has been indelibly engraved in my mind ever since.
