In March the Veteran Car Club of Australia (Victoria) held their annual RACV One & Two cylinder tour in Bright, located in a scenic part of northeastern Victoria. Some 70 vehicles entered which included two motorcycles, two steam cars, two high-wheeler buggies as well as an amazing array of veteran Renaults, Buicks, Cadillacs, Brush vehicles amongst other makes. The oldest vehicle was an 1899 Renault.
Bright is also a popular cycling destination and it was great to see the two modes of transport mixing it up for the enjoyment of all. Entrants came from all over Australia and enjoyed wonderful weather and the delightful scenery the area is renowned for. The tour was over four days and the typical daily distances were between 80 and 120km. This event has become the most popular on the Club’s calendar and continues to attract new entries each year.

The vehicle predates Societe Renault Freres, which wasn't established until 25 February 1899, and formed the pattern upon which the 1899 Renault Type A was based.
