Unidentified Fiat 2300 nose?

"These parts are for sale in Minturno, Italy. The seller states that these belong to a 1930's Fiat 2300 , and were removed from a Fiat 505 . I couldn't find any Fiat to match these parts so I suppose these are a coachbuilder's masterpiece, maybe Lancia (Astura) ? I am sure that the PWC comunity will solve this mystery! "George Nica

editor: well George, tell the guy who likes to sell these parts to have take a try in our parts department. Judging the date of the photos they are trying to sell since October or even February 2010...

Looks like a Fiat 2800 to me.

NOT Lancia. No such airvents in the hood appear on Lancia and as already mentioned by Andrew, NO sliding pillar access covers.

editor: well Dick, I guess you are right about the access covers. But that aside, as anybody can see, this is no standard coachwork. So how can you say that his kind of airvents never appeared on Lancia?

I think the Seller means a 508 , since this looks remarkably like a Fiat 1100, which originally started out life as the 508C Balilla looking more like the Topolino. It subsequently had a Nose Job with new streamlined window-shaped louvres and was renamed the 1100B and popularly known as the "1100 musone" (i. e. "big nose").
After the war, in '49 it was reintroduced with a longer trunk as the 1100E or 508L and used mainly as a truck or Taxi.
An 1100B lives round the corner from me in Bangkok

editor: hi Stuart, the similarity is big, but still.... check this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/patrick_castelli/5848660792/

I doubt the panels will be from a Lancia as I can't see the tell tale sliding pillar access covers.
