Under the tree. (UPDATE: 1934/35 ? Chevy passing under Wawona )

•

Harit from India regularly sends us old pictures that he buys locally. Yet how this snapshot of the family car hiding under the tree ended up in India is not clear. On the back is written that the car is a Chevrolet, but we’re not sure. Obviously the photo was taken in the USA on a trip to one of the National Parks as the giant tree looks like a Sequoia or Redwood. These trees can grow to amazing heights and at some places it’s still possible to drive through them.
UPDATES came in form Kit Foster and Mark Dawber (Kit claiming 1934, Mark 'a 1935 Standard'. Kit adds: "The tree is unmistakably "Wawona", the Tunnel Tree in California's Yosemite National Park. Wawona was a "must do" photo op for all visitors, until it fell in 2006.
