Roadside Stanley fun.

Thomas & Joyce Edfors report from their novice steam tour: "We did our first car tour in years with the Illinois Brass Touring Region in Galesburg, Illinois (click for automotive history snippet). On our first day our 1909 Regal had problems so we rode with our friends Mike and Nancy Roach part of the next day in their wonderful 1914 Stanley. Alas, even Stanleys can have a problem from time to time and we found ourselves by the side of the road fixing a broken feed water pipe. It seems to me that there are many cell phone calls made by those of us who tour that start with 'we are by the side of the road'. Anyway, here are a few photos of the Stanley, Mike Roach making a new feed pipe and and me under the car. Being by the side of the road is part of the hobby and is part of the fun. The story had a happy ending, we fixed the problem and made it back to out host hotel. What a day!"
