No quiz today as you still have time to send in your X-mas quiz until Monday. So chill and relax before a new year full of mysteries and insolvable quizes will start. Right after new year some snow shots came in which show the climate is making a U-turn in the right direction... A real oldfashioned winter was captured by Mike Tebbett (UK) who took out his Amilcar C4 for a fresh new year's spin :"Some snaps of my run out on New Years Day in the Amilcar C4 - taken high on the Malvern Hills in the frost and snow... brrrrrr.... cold but fun!" John Maggs writes:"Did you mean the weather is changing? Or are you suggesting that a few cold days might indicate that climate change (i.e., human induced warming of the earth's average temperature)is reversing? This is a very serious matter indeed and comments in public places are perhaps best left to climate scientists. I wouldn't let one fix my pre-war Singer but they have their uses!"
Editor JB: We do not pretend to know which way the climate will go. We were playfully referring to the many yes and no discussions in newspapers who are quite different in their conclusons. What we understand is that only the higher percentage of carbon-dioxide in our atmosphere is a proven fact by science. No rise in global temparature as a result of that. No rise of the level of the oceans either. Start reading here. "
