The ballet dancer and the photographer (UPDATE IV: Hispano, Delage or Mercedes?)

The French Côte d’Azur has always been the playground of the rich and the famous. During the 1950s photographer Edward Quinn was there to capture on camera as many celebrities as he could. His photographs can be seen in his extensive photo archive (click!), which is being looked after by archivist Wolfgang Frei. Wolfgang is preparing a book about Edward Quinn and asks our help in identifying an automobile. The picture shows French ballet dancer Zizi Jeanmaire with some of her friends in front of the Monaco Station in 1952. But what is that flashy automobile in the background? We have details of the front and of the rear of the car. Check it out and mail us (RB)! If you want to see more of Zizi Jeanmaire check her out on YouTube!

UPDATE IV: Jaap Braam Ruben suspects it could be a Mercedes Nürnberg.
UPDATE III: Marc Fellman does not agree with Delage. “The radiator doesn't appear to have the slope expected for a Delage. My interpretation is that it is quite upright. However it also doesn't appear to have the louvred appearance of a K6 Hispano either. I would suggest a Hispano but something earlier than a K6. Perhaps a H6C Hispano?”
UPDATE II: Andrea Insalata and David Green think Delage. David: “The slight rake to the radiator plus its shape suggests it is a Delage, late 30's, possibly a D8 120.”
UPDATE: Both Michael Hortig and Ignacio Pueche think that it looks like a K6 Hispano Suiza.
