Race yourself at the VSCC with a Riley Treen

On the 16th of June 2018, the VSCC will organize another Speed Championship event, round 3 already. And after enjoying seeing the first 2 rounds, we thought it is time to look in the racecar section in our marketplace if something interesting is up for sale, to participate ourselves.

We found a lovely little Austin 7, as well as an Amilcar CGSS before we saw the Riley Treen. A Riley Treen you are saying? Yes, we have not heard from that type before, but when we used our old friend Google, much more information came up (and we found some brilliant old photographs of this particular car).

John Treen was a racer in Britain during the 40’s and 50’s, he also built about 10/11 race-cars for the VSCC race car owners who wanted more than just the standard cars and wanted something extra. His cars were mostly based on a Riley Nine and from that he modified the chassis and engine. The Treen cars were very popular due to their reliability and high performance.

The car that is for sale here, was the "Works Car", used by John and Mary Treen and has a very impressive race history. According to the seller, the car is running perfectly and has a lot of power. We cannot wait to test this ourselves!

The VSCC Speed Championship might be a good event to drive this very interesting car. Are you going to be the next racer?!
