Quick decision making at Monterey !

Never a dull moment this week. Today and tomorrow RM will have a series of racing and sprint cars in their Monterey auction that can give sensations you never had before. Depicted here is a 1925 Duesenberg Eight, a dual overhead cam straight eight speedway banana! But there is more, much more. An 'avant-garde' racer of the same era is the front wheel drive (!) 1925 Miller. In terms of investment the most 'conservative' choice is of course the 1930 Bugatti GP. Equal sensations with slightly less money can be achieved with the 1929 Ford 'Tony Nancy' Flathead and the "Ardun Ford". Again a little more refinement is found with the 1937 Delage 1937 Delage D6 3-litre, or with the Marchese Championship race car or the 1937 Sparks 'Big Six'. As a daring dessert RM is presenting a light Packard package. This spicy special dish from Argentina (check) was created in 2004 based on a 1927 limo chasis and lacking all the limo weight has proven its usability and 100 MPH capability on the 2005 Argentinian Mille Miglia. Enjoy this fast weekend. (photos courtesy RM Auctions)
