One for her, and one for her (Upd. moved to Norway in WWII)

One of the stars at the Bremen Classic Motorshow will be this 1937 Horch 930 V Spezial-Roadster with a body by Gläser. Based on the shortened chassis of the 930 V sedan, some thirty roadsters were built by the factory in Zwickau. Seven went to Gläser who built five with a divided windscreen and two with a flat screen. From these two the one shown here is the only remaining one. Its history is well documented from 1948 onwards, but what happened before is not clear. Probably the two flat-screen Horches were ordered at the same time by a man whose name we don’t know, but it is said that one roadster was for his wife, while this one was intended for his mistress, a famous German actress. True or not, behind the backseat there’s a specially built compartment for clothes, which could support this statement. Last year the Horch was completely restored by its owner Roy von König and will now take pride of place at the special exhibition of German automobiles with coachbuilt bodies.

Hello, The girl on the picture is me at the age of 8 or 9 years, propably summer 1962 whwe my father grew up in Selbu, Sør-Trøndelag in Norway.

My father bought this car in Germany AFTER the war. I dont remember the moment whwn thw picture was taken, but I remember the dress. Today I am the owner of this estate and in this very moment I am writing from the place.
The yarn in the background looks the same today.
I know my father got in touch with the swedish owner back in 1980-90, and it pleased him to hear about all the work to get the car back in big shape.

If possible, I would like to get the photo in a bigger size.
:-)

Jammer dat er niet één Gläser cabrio anwezig was. Althans ik heb ze niet gezien.

I would say this photo is taken in Norway - and that the car, probably, was taken into the country during World War 2.
