Old enough to know better, young enough to do anyway

Can you remember the first time you sat in your father or mothers car, playing with all the buttons and clocks? Your parents probably weren't that happy with it. The photograph shows two children in a Bugatti back in the days in Zurich.

It is probably taken by the proud owner. Or was the car parked and couldn't resist the boys to climb in and pretend to drive it. They are old enough to know better but well, we cannot blame them. Sitting in a real Bugatti is something we all wanted as a kid, right? Let the young boy in yourself live again, see our marketplace!

The Bugatti looks like a late T23. Looking at the outworn tires, the car is definitely used. And the license plate (Swiss?) is bend and the radiator seems to be leaking (but that can also be the photo). Can anyone confirm the type and even better, if the car is still around.

The license plate is Swiss. The shield on the left identifies Switzerland. The diagonally split shield on the right looks to be that of Zurich since the fields on this shield appear to be void of any decoration. The only other possibility would be Thurgau, but that has a lion in each half which does not appear to be there.

This is a late model T23 Brescia (exhaust on the drivers side) with late model radiator and four wheel brakes. The car should be able to be traced through the many Bugatti registers now published.

the "Brescia" did get front brakes only in 1926, last year it was produced.
