News announcement - introducing the PWC Partner Service | update: April Fools!

PreWarCar.com is loved by many, but not quite by everyone. Since we are always receptive to ideas for improvement and are prepared to give all suggestions and advice seriously, we are pleased to introduce a new reader service, or reader’s partner service, for which we have seen considerable demand.

When we, the current caretakers, took over this popular website, we were hearing from an alarming number of readers who claimed that their partners had complaints about the way PreWarCar.com and sister website PostWarClassic.com operate.

Help with an 'out-of-control' obsession

Often, we heard directly from the partners themselves. We remember in particular one very colourful letter from an incensed wife who was most upset about the weekly newsletters her husband was receiving from us. “Please stop doing this”, she implored. “He buys everything, spending all our money on that stupid project car. ‘It might come in useful one day,’ he says. The only use I can see for a third spare Graham-Paige exhaust manifold is clouting him with it in the hope of knocking some sense into him.”

She was by no means on her own. An increasing number of partners approached us through the years in similar states of fury. The situation worsened drastically during the house-bound coronavirus years, when the messages were amplified both in quantity and in the air of menace they conveyed. We have been asked on a number of occasions whether certain individuals may be banned from or blocked from viewing our websites.

A special service for wives and partners

It certainly was never our wish to cause conjugal disharmony, and, in the interests of the safety and wellbeing of our readers, we have been working to find a solution. We now present a new scheme which we hope will guarantee lifelong wedded bliss.
