Could your readers perhaps help to identify this French? cyclecar axle, no differential. it must be one of the interesting early cyclecars

Most certainly a late Austin Seven rear axle as noted - if there is no differential it has been removed !

Not from an interesting early cyclecar, I think. It looks like Austin 7 Ruby circa 1937.
