Riddles in the former Auburn Cord Duesenberg factory

Heith Goodrich recently paid a visit to a National treasure. Listed as one of the best places for gearheads in the USA to visit, the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana, features over 120 automobiles. He was in heaven! "Very rarely does anyone see as many unique and pre-war cars as you will find here. Although we only had a few hours to visit the museum, I must have taken a photo of every single car in the collection. The interesting thing about this museum is that the building is the original Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg factory (photo ACDClub.org). Given the storied history of Duesenberg and Cord specifically, this museum really piqued my curiosity! The most impressive thing about this collection is the variety of very unique and interesting automobiles!  In the spirit of fun, I have included 5 lesser-known (or maybe not!) pre-war automobiles. *Hint, one is actually from just after the war, but a very interesting piece. Can you name all five? Answers soon!"

Everyone, very good! You are the reason I love prewarcar.com so much! 1911 Metallurgique, 1915 Apperson Jack Rabbit, 1911 Auburn, 1916 Rausch and Lang, and yes, the 1948 TASCO!

The futuristic vehicle is the one-of-a-kind 1948 TASCO (The American Sports Car Company), designed by Gordon Buehrig, who was better known as an ACD designer.

We see a 1911 Métallurgique roadster, a circa 1915 Apperson (Jack Rabbit?) a 1911 Auburn and a 1914 Rauch & Lang electric. I pass for the futuristic vehicle.

Indeed, Heith, also for me it was a great happening when I visited the Auburn-Museum in 1987 and 1988 during my trips through Ohio and Indiana: Detroit, Lake Orion(Cadillac/Oldsmobile Assembly Plant)and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. After these trips I twice visited Hershey (the Greatest Show on Earth!)
