Masterpieces at Milwaukee

Sunday August 24th was the fourth annual The Masterpiece Style & Speed Showcase held on Milwaukee's lake front. The Sears made it and had another high wheel motorcar to park with. This was a rare 1909 Economy made in Joliet, Illinois owned by Brady and Emily Mann. Brady's great, great grandfather purchased the car new at the factory in 1909 and drove it home to Secor, Illinois. The car was badly damaged in a building collapse but the Mann's returned it to original condition. Also sharing this circle was an equally rare 1909 Mason owned by Richard Litchfield. The Mason was made in Des Moines, Iowa by the Duesenberg brothers, Fred and August. More fame awaited them as the years went by. This came with two bodies, easily interchangeable, a truck body for business during the week and a touring body for weekend use by the family. Both bodies were displayed. And there’s never a dull moment in Milwaukee... how about the celebrating 105 years of Harley-Davidson this weekend? (text & photos Thomas Edfors).
