Magical Mercer Meeting

By David Greenlees: “I was fortunate to be able to participate in the Mercer Centennial Meet, which was held on the grounds of the Roebling Museum in Roebling, N.J. this past weekend. This was a magical event that was blessed with perfect weather. Twenty three Mercers and their caretakers attended and they came from as far as New Zealand. On the first day we took a bus tour to visit the Plumbo Buckley Foundation which has both a T & L- Head example which were restored by Ralph Buckley who is considered to be the Dean of early restorers. After lunch we traveled to Philadelphia and visited the Simeone Foundation Museum. They treated us to a guided tour of one of the worlds best collections of the premier sports and racing cars in the world.”
