Lopresto's one hundredth concours win ! UPDATE: 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C2500 SS Revelli-Bertone

Some people like to drive. Some people like to shine.
Mr. Corrado Lopresto of Milan, Italy had his 100st concours win during this weekend's Hilton Head Island Concours. Sunday’s Concours d’Elegance top honor, “Best of Show,” was awarded to this awesome 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C2500 SS (which coachbuilder?).
Now, what we would like to see is any photos of this car just prior to its restoration. Or any period photo.  You can send a link or pics to [email protected]

Toby, if this was a kit car, it would look like some cheap knock-off of a well known automobile. Love it or not, this ALFA is a truly unique example of custom coachwork. It's not nice to knock someone's ride!

This car is a very early, if not, the earliest known car with Bertone coachwork.

Editor: the earliest bertoen was a Fiat based roadster as far as I know. 1921-1923 Fiat 501S Corsa Bertone http://www.prewarcar.com/magazine/quiz-archive/what-is-it-144-update-1921-23-fiat-501-s-corsa-by-bertone-001459.html

I find it hard to believe !00 Concour wins. Maybe 100 awards of some sort.
Joris you also saw a Dodge Daytona and thought it was a Charger? Lets see the list of awards.

This is one of only 40 Alfa Romeos built on the lightweight Super Sport chassis during World War II. Mario Revelli di Beaumont designed this unique coupe and the body was built by Bertone.
