La Bohème on Mile End Road back in 1931

This is a street view of 1931. On the opposite side of the street, we see La Bohème Cinema on Mile End Road, London. We are looking from Grove Road towards Burdett Road. Later La Bohème was renamed Vogue. But unfortunately, the building was eventually demolished.

It is difficult to recognise this junction on the photograph as so many changes have been made to modernize the crossing and to make it safe for the contemporary traffic. Grove Road is considerably widened and aligned with Burdett Road. Also, the buildings are difficult to identify if we compare today's street view with the one back in 1931.

Now the question for you is, what pre-war cars do we see in the photograph? Please comment below.

Definitely a Morris Isis. I bought one in the early 1960s for £30. It was a large car and ideal for carrying my double bass around,; plus other members of our trad jazz band the Thames Valley Stompers.

Reg Harris left a comment saying the car is a Morris. I, too, believe it's an Isis.
But, is this the 'Reg Harris' the well known racing cyclist?
THE Reg Harris owned an M.G. TD which was later owned by Harry Crutchley who started the M.G. Octagon Car Club. Following Harry's death the car was sold.

My thought is that the car ahead of the tram could be a 1930c Morris Isis/Oxford. The radiator badge gives the hints.
