Is this a world first?

Veryrecently the Vintage Car Club of Queensland took a gamble and ran a rally in which entrants had the option of using today’s technology (the Actionbound app on a smart phone) for route instructions and recording evidence that you’d actually arrived at various points.  No clipboards, no pencils, no sheets blowing away in the wind! Given the generally crusty nature of the old car fraternity, it may be that this was a very brave first.  This is a step in the process of attracting younger people to older cars!

As the photos show, the Next Gen Mountain Rally itself took us through a country that had recently been ravaged by bush fires.
