Holiday Encounters

Last Sunday’s charabanc brought a response from Karel Vermeer. Whilst on holiday in France, he encountered a similar car on the Route Nationale 85 from Gap to Grenoble, better known as the Route Napoléon. The bus is a Rochet Schneider dating from 1932 and according to the writing on the side it’s used for summer trips to the Notre-Dame de la Salette, a famous sanctuary. But these pictures gave us an idea…: surely you’ve also seen and photographed pre-war cars during your holiday.
